These themed 30-minute photoshoots are fully stylized and designed to make an impact. Each session includes curated props and your choice between two pre-designed backdrops built specifically around this month’s concept.

At Flicker & Flame Photography, Monthly Minis are immersive, story-driven portrait experiences designed to be both accessible and unforgettable.
Once a month, we transform our studio into a fully styled, cinematic concept. Every theme is thoughtfully built, mock-shot, and previewed so you know exactly what you’re stepping into before you book.
These sessions are fast-paced, creatively charged, and intentionally priced at $150 to make professional, artistic portraits available to more people — not just for milestones, Monthly Minis were created to remove the barrier of timing, budget, and overthinking. They’re intentional, artistic moments designed to help you step into the frame more often.
Each Monthly Mini:
• Happens on one designated day once a month, typically Saturdays
• Features two contrasting, fully designed sets
• Includes curated props and guided posing
• Will not be repeated within the calendar year

A few gentle answers before you step into the frame.
How long are the sessions?
Each Monthly Mini is a 30-minute guided portrait experience.
They’re intentionally designed to feel focused and creative, not rushed. We guide you the entire time so you never feel awkward or unsure of what to do.
It moves beautifully. You’ll be surprised how much we create in that space.
How many images are included?
Your session includes 7 professionally edited digital images of your choice, delivered through a private online gallery.
If you fall in love with more (which happens often), additional images are available for $20 each.
Raws are not available, every image you receive is fully refined in the Flicker & Flame style.
What if I can’t make this month’s date?
Monthly Minis happen on one designated day, and once the day passes, the set is retired for the year.
If you can’t attend this month, you’re always welcome to book a 1-hour custom session where we can recreate the theme — but tailored more specifically to your vision.
It won’t be offered at the promotional $150 rate, but it includes:

• Greater personalization

What if I need to reschedule after booking?
Because Monthly Minis are designed around one set date and built specifically for that event, we are unable to reschedule mini sessions outside of the designated day.
A deposit is required to hold your spot, and deposits are non-refundable.
However - we understand life happens.
If you’re unable to attend, your deposit can be rolled over toward another service, including:
• A future Monthly Mini
• A 1-hour session
• Any other qualifying Flicker & Flame experience
• A future Monthly Mini

We want your investment to still create something meaningful.
Can I transfer my session to someone else?
Yes.
If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your reserved spot to someone else with advance notice.
Monthly Minis also make incredibly meaningful gifts - whether it’s for a partner, a parent, a best friend, or someone stepping into a new chapter. There’s something powerful about gifting someone the experience of being seen.
They can even be gifted in playful ways. We once had three brothers book a silly sibling shoot to create a photo book for their mom’s birthday. What started as a fun surprise turned into her ordering canvases for her living room.
Sometimes the most unexpected sessions become the most treasured ones.

What should I wear?
After booking, you’ll receive a styling guide curated specifically for that month’s theme and both set options.
We’ll provide direction on tones, textures, and overall mood while still leaving space for you to feel fully like yourself.
Need outfit feedback? Send it over. We love collaborating on the details.
When will I receive my images?
Galleries are delivered within 2 weeks after the session date.
You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can select your included images and purchase additional favorites.
We take our time refining your gallery so it feels like art, not just photos.
Will this theme come back later in the year?
No, each Monthly Mini is created once and then gently retired.
When the day ends, the set is dismantled and the concept closes for the calendar year.
That’s part of what makes it special.
Can I upgrade to a full session later?
Absolutely.
Many clients use Monthly Minis as an introduction to working with us. If you leave wanting something longer, more expansive, or more personalized, we’d love to create that with you.
Minis are a doorway, not a limit.
